The rules for NATO Advanced Research Workshops allow for taking part in the event either as a participant or as an observer.

TO BECOME A PARTICIPANT:
In accord with the aim of the workshop, the status of participant is reserved for young researchers from Central Europe, or, more precisely, from Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia. Our ideal `young researcher’ is

  1. a PhD student, or someone who received PhD not long ago;
  2. has a lively interest in the foundational or philosophical issues of quantum mechanics.
To prove the interest mentioned in (2.) above, please, send to our Cracow address
  1. your CV,
  2. a short sample (ca. 10 pages) of your written work that is related to quantum mechanics or foundations of quantum mechanics. This can be your old seminar work, or can be specifically written for this occasion to address one of our relevant topics. Please, remember the aim of your paper: we do not expect you to make a breakthrough in the area, but to show your familiarity with a topic of your choice related to the workshop.
  3. a recommendation letter from your professor or a researcher in physics or philosophy of physics. However, if you have none to write for you, please, submit your materials without the letter.
